Hydraulic VRCS

Centralized hydraulic operation of ballast, cargo and service valves.

01

Overview

Centralized hydraulic operation of ballast, cargo and service valves.

02

System Description

A hydraulic VRCS uses pressurized oil from a central power unit, routed through solenoid valve cabinets, to drive rotary or linear actuators on remote valves. Vyon Marine integrates and supports hydraulic VRCS installations; system configuration is developed according to vessel requirements.

03

Applications

  • Ballast water systems
  • Cargo pipelines on tankers
  • Fuel and service lines
  • Bilge and fire-main valves

04

System Configuration

Control station → solenoid valve cabinets → hydraulic power unit and manifolds → valve actuators → shipboard valves, with position feedback returned to the control station.

05

Main Components

  • Hydraulic power unit
  • Solenoid valve cabinets
  • Valve actuators
  • Position feedback units
  • Hand pumps
  • Control station

06

Key Features

  • Suited to large and widely distributed valves
  • Central monitoring of valve status
  • Local emergency operation via hand pump
  • Suitable for submerged and in-tank valves
